Ingeborg K.
ACCEPTING OFFERS
Name: Ingeborg K.
Home Country: Norway
Approx date of arrival: February 2023
Area of interest: Dairy Farming
Ideal Location: Not specified
Level of English: Good – some translation required when describing certain things
Considerations: Travelling with a friend.
Summary: Ingeborg is a 19yo female and is traveling to Australia with her friend Maran. She completed secondary school and currently works on the dairy farm where she is involved with milking and feeding the calves. She is heavily involved in a rural youth team and agriculture group for young farmers. After visiting Australia she is unsure if she will study agronomy or landscape gardening.
Having grown up on a dairy farm where they milk 50 cows, grow corn and grass for their stock, she is very interested to learn more about dairy farming in Australia. Ingeborg described her strengths as being a positive person who is able to work long days and is very willing to learn. She told me she has not had as much experience with driving tractors but is capable if shown. She has operated John Deere and Fendt tractors, a quad bike and is able to use a chainsaw and has an automatic car license.
Ingegorg came across as a friendly happy person, describing herself as sociable, cheerful and someone who enjoys a challenge. Her spoken English was reasonably good and she was able to hold a conversation well. She did require translating a few specific words that described particular things we were discussing.
Ingeborg would complement any dairy farm operation and would be a pleasure to have around.
